In our world of many temptations it is quite impossible not to come across a person who has never had to deal with an addiction of some sort. It may be food, alcohol, gambling or even smoking, it really does not matter what it is. The one common element that makes all afflicted persons the same is the battle to live without something that gives us self gratification. But in order to succeed in your battle against bad habits you must work towards reshaping your mindset. Believe it or not but you act the way you act because your mind has been trained to respond that way. So bombard your brain with questions that will challenge your conditioned reflexes.

And if you take the extra step of turning your realizations into actions this is when you create a competing conditioned reflex. Unless you did not know a conditioned reflex is the natural response of the body that directs us to a certain course of action based on what we always do.

After the initial period of retraining the brain it is very important to start seeing your habits in an extremely bad light. As you may have learnt by now the human brain is inclined towards making us do the things we love. Shock your mindset and consider the negative impact your drinking, excessive eating or smoking has had on you. Look at your life, your body and even the mistakes you have made in life.

Coming to the understanding that you patterns have ruined your career or family in ways that can never be changed is very important. At the very beginning you should instantly avoid such thoughts but with time you should begin to see the obvious benefits. The next step is quit simple, requiring you to simply replace your old habits with insightful ones. You can start a new habit or engage in a fascinating activity that used to excite you. How To Change Your Mind Set.

Behavior change is never easy especially when peers around you are regularly putting pressure on you to do certain things. But according to quantum physics the only way to change your present circumstances a complete overhaul is necessary. I will show you how I managed to change my mind set in order to achieve my goals.

Telling yourself who you are or who you want to become is a good way to start. The human brain is a very complex structure and it needs to be fooled for it to change the way it thinks and believes. Try repeating certain words specific to what you want to become and your brain will almost immediately take charge and begin to respond in the way you want it to. Try telling yourself certain things about your character everyday and after a year tell me what happens.

Just like vegetarian glucosamine our body’s reaction to changed circumstances is slower as we get older. A mind set change can be difficult to enforce as we grow older, but that doesn’t mean it is impossible. Don’t wait until your brain is too old to learn new things and to accept new beliefs because it will be close to impossible.

Changing the things you watch and listen to is a good way to change aspects of the way you think. It doesn’t help to watch violent movies and listen to violent music if you’re trying to become calmer and less aggressive than before. Switch your watching and listening habits to suit the new mind set you’re trying to implant into yourself and you will see positive results.

The way we think is largely influenced by the company we share. If your present friends do not resemble who you want to become in the next few years it would be advisable to change friends, but not disregard your old friends. This aspect of behavior change is overlooked but is perhaps the most important.

Hypnotism is a psychological therapy technique that has been used for ages just like anti aging creams. A hypnotherapist will go deep into your subconscious and try to change you from the inside out. This type of therapy is very effective because it attempts to erase old beliefs and replacing them with newer ones. Hypnotherapy is a good way to instill new behavior; don’t wait until you’re in your retirement age to visit one, it will be awkward.

There is no se in trying to change if your friends are in the dark about your intentions. Letting them know will make it easier to get their support without actually getting pressure from them about how much you have changed. Tell them about your hopes and wishes and if they are your real friends they will understand instead of thinking you are avoiding them.
