Reaping the Rewards of Marriage

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless.

So husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church.

(Ephesians 5:25-29)

Marriage is not that easy; yet its rewards are really fulfilling. And usually rewards only come almost at the end of the journey.

Excessive busyness with the requirements of daily survival: the job, the children, the bills, the house, the whatever; They become the priority.

A better intention would be to communicate your needs and feelings to your partner without making them become defensive so you can continue the discussion and problem solving until you reach a win-win solution. Your relationship can weather any event that comes your way as long as respect and love are maintained between husband and wife. Respect includes good manners, clean language, kindness and consideration for each other.
