Ways to Receive God’s Blessings

There are four ways to receive more of God’s blessings. These are the following: keeping God’s commandments, being a profitable servant, being a cheerful giver, and walking by faith.

Receiving Blessings from God

What are some keys that unlock the windows of heaven so that we can receive more of what we ask from our heavenly Father? Does the Bible state what we must do to receive what we ask from God? Yes, it does in John 3:21-22:

“21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God. 22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.” (KJV)

The purpose of this article is to describe four keys to receiving blessings from God.

Keep God’s Commandments

We must keep God’s 10 commandments. Obedience is one important way that we show that we truly love God as shown in I John 5:3:

“3For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” (KJV)

Be a Profitable Servant

What must we do if we are to be profitable servants to God and please him? Luke shows us in Luke 17:7-10.

“7 But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? 8And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? 9Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. 10So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do.” (KJV)

Would an employer give a raise or bonus to an employee simply because the employee comes to work on time and performs the basic requirements of the job? No. An employee receives raises and bonuses because the employee goes above and beyond the basic job requirements. A good employee does more work than is required to help generate profits for the employer so that the employer can afford to give the employee a raise or a bonus.

Likewise, we are to do more than God requires of us to receive a greater reward both in this life and in the Kingdom of God. God is pleased when we do more than is required of us in our zeal for serving him.

Be a Cheerful Giver

When we become profitable servants by doing more than is required of us, we can begin to receive blessings from God. What must we do to receive even more blessings? The answer is in II Corinthians 9:6-8:

“6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. 7Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. 8And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:” (KJV)

If we wish to reap a bountiful harvest of blessings, we must sow the field bountifully with the seeds of cheerful giving. If we want to experience real, abundant living, we must practice real, abundant giving.

We are to purpose in our hearts to give to God and others. We should plan our giving carefully. We should give because we want to do so, not because we have to give.

We can give of our money, our time, and our prayers. Is there another way in which we can give to God? II Corinthians 9:9 shows another way to give to God:

“9 (As it is written, He hath dispersed abroad; he hath given to the poor: his righteousness remaineth for ever.” (KJV)

Proverbs 19:17 also describes the blessings that come from giving to the poor: “He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.” (KJV)

Giving to the poor is like loaning money to God. God signs the promissory note for what we give to the poor. God will never default, but the note is not a demand note. It is not a note that we can force God to pay on our demand at the time of our choosing. God decides when to repay the debt. Jesus Christ came that we might have life more abundantly, but we will receive most of our reward in the Kingdom of God.

Walk by Faith

As we walk down life’s trail, we often cannot see far ahead of us. Sometimes the trail has twists and turns that we did not see. Sometimes fog covers the trail, and we need the light of God’s word to see the next blaze. We are to walk down life’s trail with faith as shown in Hebrews 11:6.

“6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (KJV)

Yes, we must walk by faith, which is the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1). We need to follow the trail that God has shown us. We do not need to see all the trail as long as we see the next blaze that God has marked to let us know we are the right trail.

Just as human parents provide for their children, God as our Father wants to give us good things (Matthew 7:11). We are to seek his will for our lives as we walk by faith. If we do so, the rewards from God are sure, but they may not come in the form or at the time that we might desire.

Conclusion

The are several keys to opening the windows of heaven to receive abundant blessings from God. We must (1) keep God’s commandments, (2) be a profitable servant, (3) be a cheerful giver, and (4) walk by faith. These keys are not the only keys. Other scriptures show additional ways that we can please God. Through a diligent study of of the Bible, we can learn more perfectly how to please God, live an abundant life, and receive blessings from God.

Ways to Attract Prosperity into Our Lives

Every new year’s eve, there are so many rituals that people do in hopes to attract prosperity into their lives. Although, I am not a hardcore believer on that, I don’t think it would harm anyone if I do some of the traditions, so I only do one thing.  But then again, I think it’s just a matter on how you see prosperity and what you actually do to achieve it, instead of relying on the stars and other supernatural powers.

Why does it seem as though there are some people who easily attract prosperity into their lives while there are countless others who struggle with the same concepts? There are scietific laws that state when you do things in a certain way you will get certain results. If you want to learn more about the laws of attraction and how they relate to becoming prosperous, in ALL areas of your life, then consider the following tips:

1. It is okay to vent. getting the negative energy and emotions out can actually help you attract prosperity. As human beings we experience normal feelings such as anger, hurt, frustration. Don’t fear venting your emotions, its okay to express these feelings as long as we don’t stay there…express it….then move on!

2. When setting out to achieve your goals, it is important not to overly obsess on the end result. its okay to want success, happiness, etc but don’t become desperate. Having passion for what you are doing and taking efficient action are necessary to seeing the desired outcome. If you don’t take action you won’t be taken seriously. And desperation or non-activity means that your desires won’t synchronize with your reality. Everyday you must take some kind of action towards your goal. You must also have a passion about the process.

Have a passion for the process then DO the process in order to see the end result.

3. Determine if you are living a lie and what you can do to come to a realization of the truth. Denial is a defense mechanism which may serve as a protective force for the short-term but in the long run it can actually hurt more. You are also living a lie if somebody Else’s pathology became part of your belief system which is not a part of your eternal truth.

4. Realize that we can affect others and others can affect us. This can be in both positive ways and negative ways. Negative feelings from others can not only be draining to us and may eventually begin to share similar thoughts, this gives your power away. It helps to limit time spent around those who are constantly negative, will get you into trouble, etc.

5. Notice if and when you are being too hard on yourself. As we grow older and experience life it is important to accept the fact that things happen and problems will occur. Be careful not to overly fault yourself especially with things, events, situations, etc that are beyond your control.

*Your belief system is the most important factor in manifesting and attracting prosperity…*

Counting Your Blessings during Grief

Losing someone is definitely not easy to bear, especially someone close and dear. But instead of focusing on the loss, divert your attention to the blessings you received, and perhaps, grieving would be much easier.

It’s common, when you lose someone close, to try and hold on in your longing for just another moment in his or her presence. You ache for them to return, to fill the void their passing has created in your life. Denial and anger are easy friends at this point. Grief is painful and, understandably, often avoided. Many seek help and guidance from psychics, mediums, priests, or other third parties to provide them with at least one more chance to communicate with their loved one. To get answers about what’s happened, why it’s happened, or what’s next. Many bury their feelings and emotions in hope that it just simply goes away. Instead they quickly find it creeping up and causing them even more distress as they try to live their life.

Through my investigation with others and first-hand experience over the last twenty-three years, after losing my seventeen year old sister, I hope to bring you comfort by revealing that death does not need to be a dreary ending; it can in fact bring with it a surprising peace and calming affect on your life. On the surface, death can appear tragic, horrific, even as a betrayal from God. But I would like to share details with you to help you see that the reverse is true-death, even from apparent tragedies, is a blessing, a gift from heaven, a new beginning. Through vivid stories, I’ll show that the choice to leave this world often appears to be because the person who has made that transition can actually be of more help and service to their loved ones from the other side.

Twenty-three years ago I would never have dreamed I’d say such craziness. Losing my sister would benefit my life? No way! Nonsense! Now, after countless instances of “proof” that she continues to exist happily somewhere else, and yet delights in making my life not only safer and more abundant and purposeful, but also funnier and more exciting, I would say that, along with the birth of my children, my sister’s leaving is the most glorious gift I have ever received from God. The way it’s empowered me and heightened my intuition and expanded my vision of what it means to be “alive” and what I’m capable of is indescribable.

Seven Shortcuts to Wealth

We all want to become wealthy, whether we admit it or not. The article below is about a few ways on how to become one.

Growing prosperity is a process and a journey. One of the paths, we all want to take on this journey, is the path to wealth. And we want to reach this destination in life as quickly as possible. So what are some shortcuts you can take on your path to wealth?

There are many time-tested and proven shortcuts that we can see the wealthy have in common. Some so seemingly simple that they are often overlooked in value. However, even though they may appear ‘simple’, do not underestimate the power they can have when put into action.

Without further ado, here are seven of the best ones I have discovered:

Top 7 Proven Ways to Shortcut Your Path to Wealth

1.) Acknowledge God as Your Source

Who is your source? Many people make the mistake of thinking that their job is their source of supply. But they need to realize that God is the source and uses their work as a means to let the funds flow to them.

Expect God to bless you. And remember problems and needs are opportunities for God to provide for you. His abundance is unlimited.

2.) Knowledge is Power

Is your knowledge limited? More often than not, our knowledge is far too limited to make the best financial decisions that lead to wealth.

Solomon cautions us in Proverbs 15:22, that without counsel, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors they succeed. By seeking the counsel and wisdom of others, we radically expand our knowledge and ability to make wise financial decisions.

3.) Honor God with Your Tithes

Are you a tither? Wealthy and successful people are found to give ten percent or more of their income to charity. Those that honor God with their tithe (10 percent of their income), have the right to stand on the promise in Malachi 3:10 that says, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse… and prove me now, saith the Lord, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

“Tithing seems to put a person in touch with some mysterious force that attracts money.” — Norman Vincent Peale

4.) Be a Generous Giver

Do you exhibit generosity; the quality that receives more than it gives? Giving has been compared to waving a magic wand that manifests prosperity.

There is a well known proverb that tells us that those who give generously to others will gain back even more than they give. (Proverbs 11:24-25) Sound impossible? Just try it and see!

5.) Learn to Save

Have you developed the habit of saving? The discipline of consistently saving even small amounts, regularly over time, is a practice that leads to financial success. The savings habit, combined with growing knowledge to make wise investments, will shortcut your path to wealth.

6.) Stay Out of Bad Debt

Do you recognize that debt is a problem? The borrower is slave to the lender. (Proverbs 22:7) The majority of people in debt continue to get deeper in debt. The spirit of ‘keeping up with the Jones’ is a problem. Debt is your enemy.

“Debt is a merciless master. It will do everything it can to destroy you.” — Napoleon Hill

7.) Be Thankful

Are you a thankful person? God gave you wisdom and He gave you ability. It is His will that you are blessed to be a blessing. Do you give Him thanks for your job; which provides you monetary gain? Do you give thanks to all that you have been allowed to be steward over?

Being thankful and appreciative for the little creates an atmosphere for future growth.

So there you have it: Why not use these seven proven shortcuts on your path to wealth?

May you shortcut your path to wealth and enjoy a life of growing prosperity!
